Tournament Rules

  • Format

    • Single 1v1 Bracket, Single Elimination

      • If players lose the bracket, they will continue to be matched with other IM players.

    • Best of 3

    • No stage bans

  • Stage List 

    • No Battlefield or Omega variations of other stages.

Setup Guide

  • Email your partner to set up a time to play together, exchange Switch friend codes, and Discord Usernames (+ Tags)

  • Add your partner as a friend on your Switch and Discord.

  • From the main menu of SSBU, select “Online” => “Smash” => “Battle Arena”

  • Have one player create a room, and the other join the room of the first player.

General Guidelines

  • If a participant is late to a scheduled match by more than fifteen minutes, then they must forfeit the match.

  • Add each other through our Discord server to choose stages:

  • Online play will most likely not work through Yale Wifi. If this is the case, play from a local cafe which offers their own Wifi.

  • Stock and time are set to 3 stock and 8 minutes

  • Final Smash Meter: Off

  • Mii Fighters: All moveset combinations are legal
